Shore Leave for MITH Magazine
January 4, 2019
Shore Leave
With an underlying affinity for escapism, romantic visual aesthetic, timeless pieces, and an industrial setting, Shore Leave is a direct commentary on our current millennial social context. With confusion and distaste being some of the sentiments felt heavily around the world this year, contrary to this there was also a growing sense of empathy for others and nostalgia for better times…. With fashion as a platform and a means to guide us, we revisit a common desire to escape reality and tell individual stories; stories that essentially place people in unique settings and force us to ask questions about who they are and where they come from. 2018 was the year we began to celebrate the individual and it was also the year we rediscovered how to dream.
