“At The Theater with Freddie,” takes a look into the life, fashion and legacy of the king of Queen, Freddie Mercury. Regarded as both a musical and fashion icon, Freddie Mercury revolutionized fashion. The editorial explores the energetic dance between powerful masculinity and sexual femininity which he seamlessly interwove into his personal style. Starting with the 70’s glam rock days of all black cat suits and avant-garde silhouette plays to his late 80’s stylistic move representative of his more minimalistic style with studded belts, Adidas and iconic t-shirts.
Inspired by Freddie’s use of drag and the waves of gender fluidity surging in mainstream America, we used subtle drag effects to ooze empowerment with disregard for gender binaries,
